Between Lavender, Lavandin and Lavender Aspic, it's not always clear which essential oil to choose.

Lavender Fine essential oil
Latin name: Lavandula Angustifolia
Fine lavender (also known as true or officinal lavender) is one of the essential oils in aromatherapy.
In addition to its exceptional olfactory finesse, it has the following properties:
- Powerful antiseptic and healing agent
- Antispasmodic and relaxing
- Nervous calming, sedative
- Hypotensive
- Original flavour in the kitchen
It can therefore be used in the following cases:
- Migraines
- Sleep disorders and insomnia
- Anti-stress: massage the temples
- Diffuser and perfume burner for relaxation
Lavender Aspic essential oil
Latin name: Lavandula Latifolia
Lavender Aspic owes its name to the asp viper with which it shares its habitat and whose bites it is said to treat.
It has the following properties:
- Mucolytic and expectorant
- Anti-infectious, antiviral and antibacterial
- Powerful skin healing
- Analgesic and anti-inflammatory
It can therefore be applied in the following cases:
- Insect bites, as it stops the itching
Use in combination with a vegetable oil of your choice for :
- Muscle and joint pain
- Rheumatism and osteoarthritis
- Light burns
- Sunburn
- Skin problems (fungal infections, shingles, eczema or cracks on the hands and feet...)
Lavandin essential oil
Latin name: Lavandula Hybrida
Lavandin is a natural hybrid resulting from a cross between fine lavender and spike lavender.
Lavender essential oil contains camphor and has the following properties:
- Antispasmodic and muscle relaxant
- Analgesic, anti-inflammatory
- Calming and sedative
- Lice repellent
It can therefore be applied in the following cases:
- Colds and bronchitis: rub in and/or inhale
- Sauna and bath (using cooking salt, for example)
- Moth, lice and flea repellent
- As a vapour and in the perfume burner liSanitise the home
General precautions for use: Do not use on children under 6 and pregnant and breastfeeding women. Potential allergic risks are low. Do a skin test (elbow crease) before use.
